Our Activities
Collecting colostrum:
We collect colostrum from carefully selected dairy farmers and carefully monitor the quality of the colostrum, expressed in antibodies per liter. A cow produces an average of 8 liters of colostrum. About 4-5 liters of this goes to the calf. We take over the remaining colostrum from the dairy farmer. The collected colostrum is analyzed by an external laboratory for the antibody content. This content determines the quality of the colostrum. This is important for both the dairy farmer and for our end product.
We feed back the antibody levels to the supplying dairy farmer. We keep the data resulting from the colostrum analyzes clearly arranged for the dairy farmer in the BiestApp, where the quality development over time and a benchmark with the region can also be found. This way the dairy farmer can monitor the colostrum quality and correct it if necessary.
Processing of colostrum and mixing and packaging:
Through a unique production process, the colostrum is processed into powder at a low temperature, in which various important components, including antibodies, are retained. We fill the powder in various packaging and market it under various brands: for calves, goat lambs and sheep lambs, alpaca foals and piglets.
The colostrum powder is available under various brand names and meets the highest standards for purity and nutritional value. We can mix colostrum powder with ingredients according to the wishes of our customers. We work according to the guidelines of GMP+ B1 and closely follow the new laws and regulations regarding colostrum and colostrum processing.
